Rediscovery
In today’s one-on-one online workshop, we came across an interesting question about what it entails to be fully “human”.
This client feels very strongly about people needing to be more spiritual as opposed to materialistic. He believes that we, as humans, need to operate from the “heart chakra” where our energy can connect with others and with our surroundings to understand that we’re all an essential part the same collective energy. Without this perspective on energy and activating this ability to feel connected, we then may need to rely on tangible and material things to feel a sense of security. The restlessness and fear of losing the game, of falling short, of being taken advantage of and generally worrying too about imaginary scenarios to a point where anxiety kicks in.

When we pull ourselves back into only this SINGLE moment of NOW, and tune into the joy and compassion within us, we liberate ourselves from this fear of losing material things, only to gain a more confident, abundant self, comfortable in our own skin.
This is, as we concluded, what it means to be fully human.
How I wish to share that precious experience of re-discovering self-confidence with you too, through practicing Chinese calligraphy.
